The Math Link: Food

These math worksheets are designed to meet common mathematics objectives. Activities are integrated with the storybook The Mysterious Marching Vegetables. Students solve addition and subtraction word problems, work with multiplication and fractions, estimate using centimeters, create problem-solving strategies and problem solve with combinations, conduct logical reasoning using a grid, perform calculations with money, and solve addition and subtraction "cross number" problems.
The Math Link: Food is an integrated component of the Food curricular unit but may also be used alone with the storybook The Mysterious Marching Vegetables as a set of integrated reading and math activities.
These worksheets may be used with a broad range of grade levels. They are most appropriate for use with students in grades 3–5.
