Memory and Learning: The Reading Link

The Reading Link provides ready-to-use reading and language arts activities directly related to the book, Danger at Rocky River (part of the Memory and Learning unit). Activities focus on word meanings, details and supporting ideas, sequence of events, the main idea of the story, cause and effect relationships, summary of a selection, predicting future outcomes, generalizations and drawing conclusions, differentiating fact from opinion, and more.

This supplement is not intended as a comprehensive reading program. The activities are related to reading objectives common to many curricula and cover a range of grade and ability levels. Teachers will wish to select the activities that are most appropriate for their own students.
