Reading and language arts worksheets with activities that are directly related to the storybook Mr. Slaptail's Curious Contraption. Exercises cover word meaning and context clues, sequence of events, cause and effect relationships, details and supporting ideas, the main idea of the story, summarizing, fact and opinion, inferences, generalizations, conclusions, and following written directions.

The Reading Link: Global Atmospheric Change is an integrated component of the Global Atmospheric Change curricular unit but may also be used alone with the storybook Mr. Slaptail's Curious Contraption  as a set of reading and language arts activities.

These worksheets may be used with a broad range of grade levels. They are most appropriate for use with students in grades 35.
